Karpenisi

Karpenisi is a beautiful city flooded with landscapes of infinite natural beauty and with a multitude of cultural events during the summer months. It is worth visiting the surrounding picturesque villages with well-preserved traditional buildings (Agios Nikolaos, Agios Andreas, Koryschades, Myriki, etc.), the artificial lake of Kremasto, the folklore museums of the area and trying local flavors and delicacies. The wider area hosts a multitude of organized outdoor activities (kayaking, rafting, mountain biking, mountaineering).

It is only 295 km away. from Athens, 370 km. from Thessaloniki and 75 km from the city of Lamia.

Myriki

Myriki is a mountainous, winter Karpenisi destination, built on the slopes of Tymfristou at an altitude of 1100m and just 10 km from Karpenisi. The Myriki is spread in an excellent location by dense pine forest offering a spectacular view of Karpenisi and Velouchi. East of the village is the church of Prophet Elias, where you can visit and enjoy the view from the point, and you should spend some moments of relaxation and rest in a specially designed leisure area in the courtyard of the chapel.

Sights

Panta Vrechi

The "Panta Vrexei" gorge is one of the most special gorges in Greece. It is located between the villages of Roska and Doliana and is crossed by the Krikelopotamos.

Ski Center Velouchi

The Velouhi ski center is located on Mount Velouhi, at an altitude of 1840 meters, at a distance of only 12 km from the town of Karpenisi.

Proussos Monastery

The historic Proussos Monastery is located 31 kilometers from Karpenisi. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and celebrates on August 23.

Mavri Spilia

The gorge of Mavri Spilia, has nothing to envy from the gorge of Panta Vrechi, it is located two kilometers from the village of Proussos.

Tsagkarolana

Tsagaralona, located in the village of Fidakia, the panoramic view towards the artificial Lake Kremaston is enchanting. One of the most beautiful spots in Evrytania.

Cultural History Center

The Cultural History Center of Evrytania is an original interactive Museum. It is located in the town of Karpenisios.

National Resistance Museum

The National Resistance Museum of Koryschades is located in the center of the village of Koryschades. It is a historic, preserved monument that once functioned as a school.

Domiani Monastery

The Monastery of Domiani is one of the most important religious monuments of the wider area. It is located on the eastern edge of the village of Domianoi in Evrytania.
